There are several ways to obtain a residency visa in Dubai, one of the is under the figure or designation of Employee Visa.

There are two ways to obtain this Employee residency visa. One is, intuitively, finding a job in Dubai, UAE.

And the other way is by forming your own company and having your own company sponsor you.

This strategy is good as for your own Dubai Company to Sponsor you:

  • It does not need to have economic substance in Dubai, UAE. This means the company does not need to have traded before, have bank accounts, etc.

  • This company can also sponsor friends and family members, of legal age, if needed, under the same requirements

Only issue in theory is that you would need to pay around US$4,000 per year in concept of Trade License Renewal and Visa Fees.

We Recommend those assessing this strategy to consider the Investor Visa instead as it gives you more mobility flexibility, as under an Investor Visa you are required to visit Dubai one day every 1 year, instead of 1 day every 6 months. The pricing difference is that you will have to pay an extra US$350 in Investor Designation fee.

Nonetheless, if you consider that the Investor Visa designation is not necessary, we can process the Residency Visa under an Employee Title designation.

Under an employee Visa title designation, you can elect your professional designation, from General Manager, Company Director, to Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, etc. Some designations are free to pick, but for some designations proof of Right to Practice is required, or University Degree in that specific are, for example in the case of Lawyer or Doctor designation.
